Cholesterol Levels and Blood Pressure

Just attended the Waltham West Surburban Chamber of Commerce 128 Business Expo at the Westin-Waltham-Boston hotel on Friday, September 12, 2008. There had to be over 50 businesses with employees with high cholesterol and high blood pressure. (I don't know that for a fact...just guessing.)   But the point is to find out. My cholesterol was in the desirable range 158, where above 200 is considered "bad" and Less that 160 okay!  Also my blood pressure was 128/78. Not bad for a 60 year old. From talking with a few attendees and exibitors I found that the health of employees was a major concern. (the concern for some was really with the spiraling healthcare costs!) But both are vitally important.

Businesses depend on healthy employees. ( Well, yes I know that some businesses depend on sickness too!) But, it just make sense and, course, everyone knows, healthy employees would be more productive than sick ones. So wouldn't it make sense for employers to have healthy, as healthy as possible, employees.  How about having employees that know how to take care of themselves. In other words employees with the ability to know what sickness is and how to avoid cancer, heart disease, arthritis, and diabetes. Yes, and even how to approach obesity in employees. They would be able to take of themselves and even others. Self-responsibility is in the consciousness of most Americans now. So let's take advantage of this trend and reach out to all the businesses in the route 128 corridor and create the healthiest of employers and employess.

Just a bit of motivation and together we could offer a great plan to a number of businesses...interested?...call david snieckus, 617-964-2951
